Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. Her best-known role is Skyler White on her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna was working as a theatre actor in the Chicago area for several years before trying her luck in TV and film roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. She continued to appear as guest stars on a number of television movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 1990's, when she was cast in a regular role as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler played her part in Breaking Bad. Sully as well as Deadwood were also an integral part of her professional career. Gunn has also appeared on the stage for David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn starred in a four-part audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the plot on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of life.
