Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British American singer and musician, is well known for her musical talents. She was the first person of her generation to receive the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is a student as well as child of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982, and began her life by hopping back and forth between London as well as New Delhi. When she was only 13, her first show at New Delhi took place. In 1999, she completed her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording career. She often joins her father in performances this she's done for quite a few years. In 1998, she debuted her debut solo album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years later than her first solo album. The stage work she has done is broad as she's performed in most of the world's major venues. Anoushka Shakar's work is not restricted to just music. Bapi The Love of My Live is her 2002 book, which was a tribute Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she was an Bharat Nathyam young dancer Dance Like a Man. The career of Anoushka Shankar is in the process of developing and she'll continue to achieve great success in the near future. Anoushka Shakar, who was born in England was a major part of her life between London Delhi. After moving to California she graduated from the high school. She began learning music at age 9 and was a sitar player in celebration of the 75th anniversary her father's birth in Delhi just four years after. Her father traveled around the world with her and she was able to gain many new opportunities. While still teenagers, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall during Peter Gabriel's WOMAD Music Festival. She was the youngest and only female winner of the House of Commons Shield awarded by British Parliament for her musicianship and talent as a leading musician of the Asian Arts.
